Mission
The proposed campus organization, IMPACT TTU, will incorporate and enhance TTU strategic goals and priority actions related to issues of student engagement and retention, academic success, and diversity [Strategic Goals 1 (PAs–A, C, D), 2 (PA–B), and 4 (PA–A)]. It will support and exemplify TTU core principles: Supportive Environment, Student Success, Community Engagement, and Value Creation. In addition, the IMPACT TTU will address issues of multicultural education, equity, and inclusion for diverse and underrepresented populations. This will be achieved through leadership training, professional development opportunities, conference attendance, educational events/field trips, mentor/mentee programs, service and experiential learning, and regular meetings. The focus on diversity and grounding in service and experiential learning practices situate IMPACT TTU as incorporating multiple High Impact Practices as defined by the AACU.

Membership Benefits
IMPACT TTU offers students a chance to become part of the pipeline through various events and mentorship opportunities, which should support student retention, engagement, and academic success along with offering opportunities to connect with local employers. Students' interaction with and connection to this initiative will further their involvement with the community, expand their professional and personal development, and provide a myriad of opportunities for our students to integrate service and leadership into their academic experiences at TTU.
