It is the ABA Club's mission to promote the study of ABA and connect our students with helpful resources outside of Tennessee Tech. We encourage student growth by supporting our student's research and presentations. We also encourage the attendance of conferences to further the knowledge of ABA. This also allows the students to make outside connections that will assist them in the future. The club not only wants to be an asset to the students and the ABA program here at Tennessee Tech, but to the community through volunteer opportunities as well.

Although we are geared toward Latino cultures, we do have a diverse Familia with members from different ethnic groups that work together on our goals and purposes.

Traveling

With chapters and members located throughout the United States there are opportunities to travel to other universities and cities to meet members, share experiences and have fun. Although you may not know every member in the fraternity, the bond that makes us a fraternity means that stopping over at a member’s house or meeting at a chapter are like coming home to family.

Section 1: Membership is open to anyone at TTU who absolutely accepts the sovereignty, independence, integrity, culture, harmony and history of Bangladesh.

Section 2: Membership will not be denied on the basis of age, sex, sexual orientation, or gender identity, disability, veteran status, relugion or national origin.

Section 3: Full membership is limited to current students, faculty, and staff of TTU. Summer membership for students shall be counted based on spring enrollmeent in TTU. Spouses of full members can also be eligible for full membership but they cannot hold any executive post.

Section 4: Associate membership is open to anyone who does not comply with full membership criteria. This membership can only be applied through recommendation from at least two full members. Assocoate memebers do not have voting rights and cannot hold any executive post.

Section 5: All memberships is subjected to renewal on an annual basis. membership is due for renewal by september 30 of each academic year and shall remain valid until August 31 of the following academic year. Any full member failling to comply with the criteria witin an acsademic year can request for associate membership without any recommendations. The executive comittee reserves the right to set membership renewal formalities and deadlines.

The purpose of the Bartoo Botanical Society of Tennessee Technological University is to bring students together that share a common interest and desire to learn more about plants, to share this enthusiasm with others, and to promote botany education. BBS is inspired by the legacy of Dr. Dorr Bartoo, the first chair of the Biology Department and a fern biologist. He took students on field trips to explore the Upper Cumberland region and documented many new species in Putnam County. The Bartoo Botanical Society will organize events of general interest including botanical-themed field trips, invited speakers, and outreach events. BBS is also designated as a student chapter of the Botanical Society of America (BSA) and members receive discounted Society membership and registration to annual scientific meetings.

Once a member, you are a member for life! Membership fees help support undergraduate research, district conventions, and national conventions. These conventions allow students the opportunity to report their research and hear feedback from graduate investigators and professors. It also funds biological centered field trips taken at the national conventions.

The Mission is to equip university students and faculty to give historical, philosophical, and scientific reasons for following Jesus Christ. The purpose of this Ratio Christi Chapter is to cultivate the intellectual voice of Christ and the Christian worldview at the university, and to do this by encouraging stimulating dialogue and intellectual investigation which aid in answering life's pressing questions, especially where those questions find their answers supported by the academic disciplines of study including but not limited to: culture, history, science, philosophy, and theology. The goal will be to foster critical thinking, the use of logic, and evidential and philosophical tools in the pursuit of truth in understanding the world and religious beliefs. The Chapter will encourage and strengthen the faith of Christian students and faculty while sharing Christ's message and love with those who have not yet accepted Him. Ratio Christi intends not to compete with other ministries, but it instead seeks to serve and support other ministries. Members are eligible for a $500 merit-based scholarship to attend the Washington Internship (WII) internship program through a partnership with WII and the Association of College Honor Societies (ACHS).
Members are eligible to apply for a $1,000 housing scholarship to attend The Washington Center (TWC) internship program through a partnership with TWC and the Association of College Honor Societies. TWC has designated three scholarships per year for Sigma Tau Delta members (both undergraduates and recent college graduates).

Annual Convention
Members may submit papers for presentation at the annual Sigma Tau Delta international convention. Works selected for presentation are also eligible for overall awards and monetary prizes.
Members who attend the annual convention have opportunities to hear students from throughout the U.S. and abroad present their creative and critical writing, to attend sessions on student leadership and chapter activities, and to listen to presentations by noted authors. Featured speakers at recent conventions include Neil Gaiman (2009), Azar Nafisi (2010), Poet Laureate Kay Ryan (2011), Natasha Trethewey (2012), Ursula Le Guin (2013), Alison Bechdel (2014), Gary Soto (2015), Charles Baxter (2016), Jeff VanderMeer (2017), and Mary Norris (2018).
Student Leadership and Community Service
Members may compete for officer positions and take part in community service projects at many campus chapters.
Members may compete for student leadership positions at the regional and Society levels. Student leaders serve on the Sigma Tau Delta Student Leadership Committee and represent student needs and concerns to the Sigma Tau Delta Board of Directors.

Career Advancement
Members may use their honor society affiliation as a tangible sign of academic success to help advance their professional career.
